Half.com is owned by eBay. The difference between the two is eBay uses an auction format while Half.com uses a fixed price format. With Half.com, if you like an item and the price, you can instantly buy it. With eBay, most of the items require you to bid on the item, and then when the auction is complete, the highest bidder wins.

One of the great things about Half.com is that the sellers there offer a lot of new items. Many small and medium-sized companies are now using Half.com to gracefully get rid of excess inventory, discontinued items, close-outs and one-of-a-kind pieces.

Unfortunately, they don't carry much in the sporting goods area any longer.
